Sod-turning Ceremony for the Kunene Craydom Farm Phase 3 Electrification Project in Ward 07
Today His Worship the Mayor, Cllr. AM Mkhize, together with councillors and Endumeni Local Municipality officials, officially conducted the sod-turning ceremony for the Kunene Craydom Farm Phase 3 Electrification Project in Ward 07.
During the event, the Mayor introduced the service provider that will be responsible for the completion of the project, which is expected to run for a period of two months. The project will bring electricity to more than 70 households that were previously left without access to electricity.
The municipality has invested over R2.6 million into this important development initiative, which will also create employment opportunities for more than 15 local community members, including two security guards from the ward.
Mayor Mkhize assured the community that he will personally oversee the progress of the project together with the Technical Department to ensure that the work is completed smoothly and on schedule. He expressed his wish to return in July to officially cut the ribbon and celebrate the successful completion of the electrification project.
He further urged the residents of Kunene Farm to protect the project, work together with the contractors, and ensure that there are no thefts or disturbances that may delay the successful completion of the development.
